Verdict

The feature race on the card can go to the very progressive APPLE CHARLOTTE who is fancied to see off Charity Belle and Beat Seven. Punters were very sweet on the selection last time when she disposed of The Miniver Rose in decisive fashion over this course and distance. She is now unbeaten in three starts and it is interesting that connections decided against a crack at the Oaks. The Miniver Rose wasn't disgraced in the Oaks next time up so the form looks solid enough and she can carry her penalty to victory again. Also with extra weight is Snoqualmie Girl who has faced some stiff tasks in the past and that may be the story again, so of more interest could be Beat Seven. Gay Kelleway's stable star has her first run of the year and she was far from disgraced in the Meon Valley Stud Fillies' Mile behind Rainbow View when last seen, although this step up in trip is not sure to suit. Course winners Danehill's Pearl and Club Tahiti both have a bit to prove after their latest starts but both are still open to improvement, as is Charity Belle. She steps up in class after winning a Newcastle maiden two weeks ago in decisive fashion and it would be no surprise to see her handle this bigger occasion. Splashdown represents a trainer going well, as does Fallen In Love and both ran well on their first starts this year and could improve. A fascinating clash however it is Apple Charlotte who is taken to make it four wins on the trot.
