This maiden sees the much anticipated debut of the only offspring of the late great George Washington and with Date With Destiny in Richard Hannon's charge she has every chance of winning first time up but with experience already gained ZANAZZI gets the call marginally ahead of Pencarrow. From top connections the pick has a decent mix of speed and stamina in her pedigree, which also suggests success as a juvenile, and after showing plenty of ability in two starts she can win at the third time of asking. Pencarrow should make things tough though as Godolphin's well bred filly found just the one too good on debut and should improve from that. Date With Destiny cost 320,000 guineas and much will be expected of the only progeny of the former 2000 Guineas winner. She is bound to be popular in the market and she's in the right hands. Encouragement can be taken from Mortitia's first outing and with the expected progression she can go well but after two good runs Zanazzi can make experience count.
