Dermot Weld won this last year and Diplomat is certain to have benefited from his run over the C&D a fortnight ago behind Quote Of The Day. However, MACBETH finished just in front of him that day and was staying on better than anything so gets the vote. Tower Rock, who was just behind, has a bit to find but is another who will have come on for the run. Colla Pier ran really well on the same card in what looked a strong fillies' maiden while Don Long produced a fine run behind Mahaazen at the Curragh and the form could be given a boost by runner-up Canary Wharf in the previous event.
