ALDERWOOD, who ended the last campaign scoring at Cheltenham, Fairyhouse and in the Grade 1 Champion Novice Hurdle at Punchestown, slipped up on his chasing bow before a decent effort behind Canaly in a very strong beginners' chase at Fairyhouse. He should have learnt from those runs and his class can see him lose his maiden tag over fences. Prima Vista was also a very useful hurdler and he's shown enough potential over fences to suggest he'll do well at the game. He looks the main threat as Hidden Future looks as though he'll do better over further, a remark that also applies to Spring Heeled.
