Verdict
Aidan O'Brien has won this six times in the past 11 years including with Footstepsinthesand, the sire of today's entry Ruling, in 2004. However, Ruling doesn't look one of his stable's blue-bloods and his pedigree is packed with stamina unlike another newcomer ANDERIEGO. Dermot Weld's son of Invincible Spirit is a half-brother to a 5f two-year-old winner and out of a mare who won over 6f as a juvenile and is a full sister to two Group winning sprinters. He should have enough pace to take this on his debut as those that have had a run look moderate in the extreme. Daniel Mark Loughnane made a welcome return to form at Dundalk on Friday evening and his Bertolini colt Billyruben is another blessed with plenty of pace in his pedigree. Edenshaw should prove best of those with experience as he did show a little more promise at the Curragh on Monday.
