A quartet against the field here are Stylish Shot, Strobe, Grand Art and Mr Crystal and we take Mr Crystal to score. Micky Hammond's gelding relishes a sound surface and was in the process of completing a hat-trick when crashing out at Wetherby last time. His rating 0f 126 is an indication that he is the best of this lot and even with penalties, provided he jumps better, he can score. Grand Art was a winner over both nine and 10 furlongs on the level, where he was rated 75 at best. He should be sharp enough for his hurdling debut and if he jumps well then in recepit of a stone from the selection he should be thereabouts. Strobe is another rated in the 70s on the flat, where fast ground and a test of stamina is his forte. He made a pleasing debut over hurdles at Sedgefield recently, but will surely be better when stepped up in trip. Of the remainder, Stylish Shot makes his British debut, now under the tutelage of Martin Todhunter, and his Irish hurdles form is solid enough, so any improvement can see him bang there, but for today Mr Crystal is preferred.
