      Verdict

      GURU GIRL has been aimed high since winning at Ascot in May. She finished down the field in Listed company before a good effort in a decent novice event at Windsor last time and could be well handicapped for her debut in a nursery. Slow ground looked a valid excuse for Amadeus Denton's poor run at Haydock last time, while Superplex couldn't cope with the extra furlong at Catterick last month and is capable of better here. Lady Caprice won a claimer on her latest start and more is needed in this company.
