The obvious conundrum to solve is whether Desert Colours can build upon his all-weather four-timer, achieved in decisive style, now reverting to Turf. Kevin Scott, a young jockey going places, has partnered the gelding to success the last twice and is in the plate again. It's tempting to row in with the combination but IMSHIVALLA, one of two Fahey entries, just makes greater appeal. She admittedly has a considerable absence to overcome but did progress well through her juvenile campaign and Samantha Bell is looking increasingly good value for her 5lb claim. Sir Guy Porteous may be better than he has shown so far and Tiffany Bay remains unexposed but does have to concede weight all round.
