    Verdict

A small but competitive field go to post for this handicap but the TEAMtalk selection is Covent Garden. The gelding from the Howard Johnson yard is unbeaten so far this season and his latest win when defeating Spectrometer has since been franked. The four-year-old has since risen in the weights again but he still has plenty of scope for improvement and will be hard to beat. A Few Bob Back rates the main danger as he was a fair third behind Ballylusky last time out but he has never won on ground as fast as this. What A Wonder ran as if in need of the run when fifth behind Hugo de Perro at Kelso. The gelding from the Ferdy Murphy yard will have come on for that run and any market confidence could be significant. The Granby was in good form in chases at the end of last season and he may need the run here before going back over fences. Lord Of The Loch and Johnston's Art will do well to win from out of the handicap while Plutocrat has shown his best form on softer ground.
