Top weight York Cliff is capable of taking a hand in the opener on the card but Mark Brisbourne's gelding has a low strike-rate and has to race of a mark that seems a shade too high so he looks worth taking on with preference for Kyber, who gets the vote ahead of Blushing Hilary. The last mentioned has run some respectable races but remains a maiden after 20 career starts and may have to settle for a minor role again. Dance Sauvage has similarly yet to win a race but is less exposed than most of these after just six outings and there may well be more to come. Danticat has given little sign of encouragement of late, while High Frequency is no better than moderate. The vote then goes to Jim Goldie's Kyber who has been running with credit of late and a reproduction of recent form may well suffice.
