Verdict

Dandy Nicholls could hold the key here running the in form Sawwaah and Maren, we will take a chance with the last named, Bolton Hall may do best of the remainder. Maren has been running much better than his form figures suggest. He was going well for a long way when beaten just seven lengths in a York seven furlong handicap last time. His best run this season came at Thirsk when a staying on second over a mile, so today's trip may be ideal and he looks the one to support. Sawwaah landed what appeared to be a better race than this at Redcar last time and is well in here on official ratings. He should make a bold bid to follow up that success. Bolton Hall has contested much better events than this during a busy campaign and should give each-way supporters a run for their money. Oman Gulf has a little bit to find with Sawwaah, but may prove best of the others. All in all a pretty open affair, but trip and ground may bring out the best in Maren who gets the narrow verdict.
