Verdict
Big McIntosh sets the standard here having won in this grade at Huntingdon before chasing home the useful Oceane in a Class 3 event at Kempton. But carrying a penalty can be tough at this time of year and it will be interesting to see if there is market support for Vilman, who won two of his five starts on the Flat in Ireland and has Richard Johnson doing the steering. The Compeller can improve on his third at Perth in September but SIR CHAUVELIN is more interesting. He grabbed a deserved success over 1m5f at Ayr in September having been placed six times previously on the level and will have no problems with the trip.
