        Verdict

        Baroot quickened off a very slow early pace to make a successful reappearance and was staying on over a mile last time. Charlie Appleby leads the Carnival trainer's list with James Doyle on top of the rider's table and they team up with the smart Symbolization, who makes his debut on the track. Not beaten far in the Jersey Stakes and just a nose behind in a Listed contest at Chantilly, he could just need the run unlike stable companion Nordic Lights, the winner of his first two starts last spring and a very good second on his debut here last month when attempting to make all. Godolphin also run DESERT FIRE (NAP), the winner of his last three. He was returning from a long absence when making a successful track debut three weeks ago where he didn't look suited by the slow early pace but he still had enough in the tank to see off his rivals. With that under his belt he's taken to go in again.
