Verdict

The Very Thing is 4lb better off than when beaten three lengths by Railway Muice over 3m here last month but the winner only weakened approaching the last in better company at the track a couple of weeks ago and he’s probably worth another try over this sort of trip. GOSHEVEN ran a lot better than the final result suggests having a first run for Shark Hanlon at Down Royal. Adrian Heskin takes over the reins from a conditional and he looks a dour stayer. The yard also run Yaiza but Wake Up Early may be a bigger danger despite having gone up another 3lb after placing twice at Sedgefield. Ladronne ran fifth in the Highland National at Perth after winning at Newcastle and is also respected.
