In depth

Verdict

Caius Marcius is a previous course winner but probably not the force of old. Mr One More has been chasing but is still preferred to stablemate Black Mischief. Cubswin generally bounces off this fast ground but has been out of sorts lately. FRENCH CRUSADER clearly needed the run when starting joint favourite at Kelso in May. He had looked a smart prospect a couple of years earlier and wouldn’t still be in training with Nicky Henderson unless thought capable of recapturing his best form. Ask Paddington still looks a shade high in the weights but Havana Hermano beat a decent sort on a rare run over hurdles at Uttoxeter in May and has solid claims.
