Out The Black is dropped in grade and can make that count against Chase The Sunset and Lord Dundaniel. Former point-to-pointer Out The Black caused a bit of a shock when beating his much more fancied stablemate Willie John Daly on his chase debut at Exeter a month ago, and lost no caste in defeat when third to Ollie Magern at Cheltenham last time. He was not as fluent as he had been the time before, but is still learning and meets nothing of that calibre today. That should help in his bid to defy a penalty against Chase The Sunset who looks ready for three miles judged on the evidence so far. His second at Ludlow looks nothing special, but he does at least hold Lord Dundaniel on that form. Chase The Sunset's stablemate Lord Luker has a lot to do, and so it is hard to oppose Out The Black who will line up as a worthy favourite.
