In division one of the maiden, Rockfield Lodge is selected ahead of Farpedon and Oceana Gold. Rockfield Lodge has shown enough in all three starts to date to suggest that he can take a race of this nature and he looks set to run well. A 50,000 guineas son of Bertolini, Alls Fair has shown a modicum of ability in his two runs to date and might yet be capable of better. Henry Candy's Farpedon cost 50,000 guineas and rates as an interesting newcomer, as does Imperial Mark, who has plenty of speed in his pedigree. Sir Mark Prescott's Master Of Arts will need to show more than he did on his debut in order to feature, while Oceana Gold is related to winners and the market might guide as to the strength of her chances, as it may with Raiding Party and Sunny Sprite. Once again, though, the selection is Rockfield Lodge.
