Verdict
Fun In The Sun stayed on well when landing a handicap here over seven furlongs two starts ago and should not be inconvenienced by the extra furlong today in this grade but he may have to settle for minor honours behind KIPCHAK, who gets the verdict with Spent rated the best of the rest. The selection has the highest rating of these and has been running creditably in handicaps of late so the drop into a seller may well bring about a return to winning ways for Clive Brittain's gelding. John Akehurst's Funky Town has yet to even be placed in any of his eight starts so looks best watched, while Fairly Honest finally opened his account after 32 starts when landing a poor classified stakes race at Kempton two outings ago and this looks tougher, especially under his penalty. Zabeel House has struggled of late but still makes more appeal than Red Current, who has been well held in recent starts. Spent should appreciate the drop in class today and has to be considered but Kipchak has an obvious chance and he is preferred.
