Mulberry Lad makes a quick reappearance and can follow up at the expense of Zazous, Doctor Dennis and Smirfy's Night. Peter Hiatt's three-year-old has hit form at the right time, his victory at Southwell on Monday coming on the back of a second on that fibresand surface. The drop back to six furlongs suited him then, but on this faster surface, he should not have a problem staying, and there is no doubting that he is much better treated than on his last visit here in June. Zazous came very late on the scene to land a Banded event here last time and will be better suited by the distance of today's contest, but faces better opposition. Doctor Dennis continues to run well on all surfaces and should make a bold play for the frame again at least, while Smirfy's Night came good over this distance at Wolverhampton, and although this is slightly tougher, he is another that can get involved. For the winner we return to Mulberry Lad.
