Verdict
This has the look of a very modest race, from which we have shortlisted Romeo's Day, Winslow Boy and, possibly, Saucy. The selection may have been beaten in a Yarmouth seller two runs ago, but that was not a bad effort judged on what many of his rivals have achieved. In addition, he then put in some good late work in handicap company at Beverley when first tried at today's trip on his latest outing. All in all, he holds solid claims in what is, as we say, a modest heat. Winslow Boy improved for the step up to this trip at Beverley last time and holds a chance if continuing in that vein and Vrisaki's juvenile form gives him a chance too, but the step up to today's trip is not certain to suit on breeding. Czech winner Well Knit has shown only very modest form in this country so far, while El Magnifico has a chance on breeding of improving at today's trip, but it is not a sure thing. Rinneen did not look an easy ride last time but a first-time visor could help today. Michael Bell's Vicario is not certain to be suited by today's trip but Saucy has a chance of improving at it. He would need to though, and the fitting of first-time blinkers could also help. Overall, though, It could well prove to be Romeo's Day at Lingfield.
