In depth

Verdict

Three of the last four renewals have gone to the Gosdens’ yard though LORD NORTH found subsequent Group 1 winner Alenquer too good when sent off favourite for this last year. But he faces nothing of the latter’s calibre this time and can go one better. Forest Of Dean was only fourth behind his stablemate last term having won this in 2021. He beat a third runner from the yard in Harrovian when landing a conditions' race at Newcastle last month with King Of The South further behind. Tyrrhenian Sea can figure having gone close at the All-Weather Championships at Newcastle last season and is preferred to Foxes Tales and Lucander.
