Verdict

PRINCE CHARLEMAGNE can complete the four-timer at the main expense of Bavarica and Encore Belle. This six year-old was a cosy winner at Kempton last time when he got the better of Sir Haydn. He has got course and distance form and he still looks to be a step ahead of the handicapper and he should take plenty of beating. Bavarica put in a below-par effort last time but he is capable of better and the form of the race could be given a boost in the 3.20 race here today. Encore Belle has got some fair form but she has a long absence to overcome and she races on this surface for the first time. Kings Topic and Sri Kuantan are course and distance winners who should not be dismissed lightly, but we will return to Prince Charlemagne as our idea of the winner.
