    Verdict

    Dazzling Valentine scored over a longer trip at Wolverhampton in April and Indian Violet won over a mile on the Polytrack here earlier in the year. However, neither have won on Turf in a combined total of 32 attempts and MARVO is preferred on that basis. He was ending a long losing run when winning a handicap over today's trip on the all-weather here in March and looks capable of adding to his previous four victories on this surface. Reaction was last seen at the track in 2010 and his only success so far was way back in 2008.
