Verdict
Spirit Of Venus is given a narrow vote in a wide open maiden, Going Straight and Cuppacocoa may provide most danger. Ed Dunlop' filly put in a very promising first run when finishing a close up fifth behind Down The Well at Nottingham. She was not given a hard time once her chance had gone and she looks capable of better. Cuppacocoa finished ahead of the selection in that contest, but looked a pretty awkward customer. She should also improve for the run but her temperament does look suspect. Going Straight improved on her debut run to chase home Juan Bol over course and distance last time. She will be hard to keep out of the money today. The best of the rest could be Sans Reward, but following her tender introduction, Spirit Of Venus just gets the verdict.
