With Souter Point becoming a bit of a near miss merchant we instead side with Paul Cole's CANTON ROAD to land this maiden with Madison Park the only other we really consider. The selection really improved for this test of stamina on his second start last time after a solid debut over a mile. The form from that last run is beginning to work out well and a continuation on the upward curve should have him in front. Souter Point is becoming really frustrating as he keeps running well without success. His record now reads four places in six starts and connections will be hoping a switch to the all-weather surface will finally get him winning. Madison Park found some improvement in his second start but was still well held last time. His powerful yard are capable of finding more from him on his polytrack bow but the form is hard to have real confidence in. Probably not the best maiden we'll see this year and Canton Road looks the route to riches.
