        Verdict

        Lithuanian is taken to improve on last month's narrow defeat and score here. The five-year-old did not help his cause by being slowly away last time, but with that experience to draw upon, he can go on better here over a trip that looks spot on. Dubai Tower is another on the track for only the second time, though he drops in trip from the 7f he ran over at Wolverhampton. He too is entitled to come on a fair bit for that run - when he was a shade unlucky to finish third - and he could give the selection most to do. Angel Annie is bred to get much further than this, so it is a surprise to see her dropped back to six furlongs. Thus far she has not looked to be anything special and this might just be a bit sharp for her. Conversely, Landing Strip is an out and out sprinter, having been tried twice at the minimum trip and once (on soft ground) at this 6f. If he can get home then he could trouble the leading lights and may well claim a place. Of the remainder, Stagnite makes some appeal as an each-way proposition, though arguably his best efforts have come on turf.
