Dixieland has shown some promise in three maiden outings, and is likely to be popular on his nursery debut, but SOCIETY SHOCK looks a more interesting option. He won a decent-looking novice race at Goodwood in June and gave a good account of himself at Newmarket last time. This looks easier and the course will suit his front-running style. Temple of Wonder will prefer this faster going, while Raskolnikov didn’t have the clearest of runs at Brighton last time and can fare better here. Barend Boy hasn’t progressed and is best watched.
Barend Boy 7-1 (9-2) Chased leaders, pushed along and outpaced over 2f out, ridden and no impression over 1f out, 5th of 8, 11 1/4l behind Burj (9-2) at Wolverhampton 6f stks (5) pol in Jun.
