Verdict

This maiden is made more tricky by the presence of some big stables including two from Sir Michael Stoute's and as he looks to have this race cornered we look to EFFERVESCE to get off the mark ahead of stable-mate Pink Palace and Godolphin's Anacopa. After a solid debut the selection ran an improved effort when sixth of 11 in a warm looking Sandown maiden. That race has produced listed class horses and this one won't need to be anywhere near that good to take this. Pink Palace ran an encouraging debut when placing behind Simmering Moment at Salisbury. With the form working out and with more expected she should be going close. Anacopa took a step in the wrong direction when tried over the mile on her latest run and might show us more now upped back in trip while Invitee ran a pleasing enough debut and looks easily the best of the remaining pair. A small field and the question is which Sir Michael Stoute's horse to pick? We side with Effervesce.
