        Verdict

        Bumper winner SMITHS CROSS has found one too good in both starts over hurdles so far and he handled the heavy going at Chepstow last time. He can go one better in this though Ffos Las third Karakoram has a decent chance at the weights with any further improvement. Topofthecotswolds debut second over timber came on fast ground at Warwick and Playa Blanca’s placed effort here also came on a faster surface. Alrightjack may well finish closer today having won a bumper at the end of last year.
