    Verdict

    Soft ground didn't appear to suit ACT OF CHARITY at Doncaster last time and he was probably also racing on the unfavoured side of the track. Marco Botti's colt had impressed at Pontefract earlier and deserves another chance getting 5lb from Steventon Star, who has stronger overall form but has left Richard Hannon for Alan Bailey since his latest fourth at Doncaster and may have stamina limitations. Epic Voyage can only improve on his second at Yarmouth and may have more scope than course and distance winner Applejack Lad and Thewandaofu.
