In depth

Verdict

Quite a few are making handicap debuts and are worth a note for future reference if confirming they've trained on. Plenty with chances therefore but we'll go with SEQUESTER despite the Lanigan team having made a quiet start to the season. Recent stable runners have just started to make a impact and this Selkirk filly displayed more than enough promise in late-season maidens to suggest she's going to be competitive off her workable mark in the new campaign. Sleeping Venus, Nothing Special and Great Wave are all similar types to the selection, as is Merry Me, who rates the prime danger for the in-form Andrew Balding. She'll be all the better for her April reappearance fourth behind Good Value after revealing plenty of promise in three juvenile outings.
