In depth

Verdict

Grande Caiman is selected ahead of Fusili and Cold Turkey. Richard Hughes' presence inspires plenty of confidence this afternoon for the Richard Hannon charge and while Charles Eddery did nothing wrong last time out, this is the sort of ride that Hughes should excel at. On the evidence of his latest outing, the handicapper still has some way to go before catching up with him. Fusili has had a difficult season in common with many of his stable. He would not be too far away if returning to some measure of form. Cold Turkey has had two runs this season after a sizeable absence. The market is watched. Polish Power has been running creditably under big weights. Chocolate Caramel doesn't win often while Jagger needs further than this trip to be at his best. A decent contest is expected and Grande Caiman can deliver.
