Verdict
Whazzis is the pick ahead of the likes of Ekhtiaar and Blue Monkey, with newcomer Subadar one to note. Whazzis has shaped well enough on both starts to date, at Chester and Ascot, to be considered the one to beat here. Her latest outing in the Watership Down Stud Sales Race resulted in a fourth to Indian Ink who franked the form in no uncertain terms next time in the Cheveley Park. Ekhtiaar's reputation preceded him on his Newmarket debut last month, but he could only finish sixth and there must surely be better to come. Any support again would be interesting. Blue Monkey will benefit from the step up in trip on breeding, while Subadar is well-related and who knows, may be above the average all-weather performer in time. On this occasion though, he and the rest may have to give best to Whazzis.
