A decent juvenile contest with some unexposed types taking on those with more proven form. Among the former category are the John Hills-trained High Finance, an unraced daughter of 2,000 Guineas winner Entrepreneur, and Sir Michael Stoute's Lynx who finished down the field in a Newmarket maiden on her only start so far. Of the others King's Mountain, formerly trained by David Watchman in Ireland, has his first run in this country and is probably best watched, while Mark Johnston's Ransom O'War who won over a mile at Southwell last time may not appreciate the drop in trip. Geoff Wragg's Grand Passion and the Barry Hills-trained Splendid Era both looked potentially useful types when winning their respective maidens at this course and have to be respected. Luca Cumani's Starry Lodge is probably better than he has shown so far but the TEAMtalk selection here is Contractor. The Terry Mills-trained colt found only the useful Viera (a winner here since) too good in a Newmarket maiden at the end of September and, in receipt of weight from the previous winners, he looks the form pick.
