Andrew Balding has found the perfect opportunity for Ballinger Ridge to lose his maiden tag, with only Rye looking capable of giving him a race. Ballinger Ridge has been the a most frustrating customer, he bowls along in his races looking all over the winner and then just appears to lose interest slightly when the chips are down. If he can keep his mind on the job today he should easily outgun these rivals. Star Welcome, Young Destiny and Mr Dip are all from decent yards and are open to improvement, but Rye has at least shown signs of ability. Jamie Osborne's filly wasn't disgraced when running fifth in a decent looking maiden at Kempton in July and if handling the Polytrack could be the one to bustle up the selection. It is hard to get enthusiastic about any of the others so Ballinger Ridge is given a confident vote.
