Backsheesh will be ridden by the in-form Jody Townend though her mount disappointed when favourite at Ballinrobe after a promising debut at Wexford. Boragh Beat made a very encouraging start behind an odds-on favourite at Tramore but also disappointed on her next start at Downpatrick though her yard could hardly be in better form. Rathmuck Minstrel couldn't catch the well supported Gone Dancin at Down Royal but it was a very fair debut as was Villa Moura's effort at Clonmel where she was going on at the finish. Dolly Dancer has a cracking pedigree for bumpers and Patrick Mullins is a very positive booking though it's another newcomer, RUN FOR MARY, who gets the nod from a yard who did brilliantly in bumpers last season.
