Plenty of runners and plenty of deadwood but THE FOLKES CHOICE is a progressive type who should be up to this. Henry De Bromhead's mare fell when likely to finish second at Tramore in April then ran another good race behind Dara Tango at Killarney. That winner is trained by Tony Martin, who probably has the main danger in God's County, four times a winner on the Flat and though still a maiden over timber after 11 starts his overall form puts him in with a very good chance. Native Son was caught in the shadows of the post in a Ballinrobe bumper and has the pedigree for hurdling and winning point-to-pointer Bearly Legal will be staying on when others have had enough.
