The only time Gleaming Silver has won a race was over a mile here last year and though Johnny Murtagh has picked up the ride the trip has to be a problem. The majority of the entries have been jumping including the veteran Essex, who is rated 140 over hurdles and is still useful on the level as he showed when runner-up over the trip at the Curragh in September. Avanti Albert ended last year in good form on Polytrack and a recent spin over timber will have put him straight while Elyaadi was in cracking form at this time a year ago and would be a real threat if fit enough after a break. ALPINE GLADE looks the one to be on after her recent success over Sweeps Hill at Killarney as she has improved markedly over timber while remaining very well treated on the level.
