Few of these have realistic chances so JEROBOAM can finally get off the mark having been well supported on all starts to date. He looked like making all over the track and trip last time but was headed 1f out and lost two places close home. His stable companion Apollo Thirteen was beaten a long way over 5f at Cork while Joseph O'Brien's pair First Blood and Early Warning haven't shown much though the latter, a $400,000 purchase, is surely better than we saw at Tipperary where he finished last. Blazing Star looks the logical choice if the selection doesn't come up to scratch as she was only headed inside the final furlong when tackling a mile at Naas.
