Verdict
Patavium Prince, Namir and Obe Bold are three against the field in a competitive opener and the tentative vote is given to Patavium Prince. The selection was a fair fourth behind Burning Insence last time out and although the drop in trip is of concern he remains fairly weighted and from a good draw he looks the value bet in an open affair. Namir rates the main danger as he remains well weighted on turf compared to the all-weather and was a fair fourth behind Ashes last time out so he should be noted in the market. Obe Bold would have chances on his best form but ran as if in the handicappers grip when well beaten ,last time, out. The booking of Nina Carberry for Indian Lady catches the eye and she should be noted in the market. Of the remainder Canadian Danehill has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price but fore the winner we are happy to return to Patavium Prince who will be suited by this stiff track.
