The finale can go the way of Potentaile with both Royal Premier and Thorny Mandate worth noting. The selection showed willing in both his last two races. He was not beaten far in what looked like a competitive apprentice race at York last time out. He gets in here off the same mark so another bold bid can be expected. Royal Premiere has jumped up the weights since winning at Kempton in December. He scored again here last time out and is now four pounds higher so he will find life tougher. Thorny Mandate is three pounds higher since winning at Chester from a poor draw and if repeating that from he could go close. But for the winner we return to Potentaile.
