Verdict
Plenty with claims though the lightly raced El Vip has only raced over 1m2f so far. Highland Colori scored in this grade at York with God Willing well beaten before running below par at Ascot last week and Knight Owl will find this easier than his recent task in the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket. Finn Class is upped in class after going close at Ayr but Father Bertie ran well again off today’s mark at Haydock having won at Redcar and is closely matched with FOX TROTTER (NAP). The latter’s close-up sixth at Haydock was his best run of the year so far having slipped down the weights and Brian Meehan’s charge can end the season with a flourish by landing this.
