A very weak contest in which Marmooq gets the vote ahead of Sad Times. The best thing about this race is that it's over seven furlongs so it shouldn't take too long before it's over. However, given the runners that may not prove true. Marmooq is at least consistent and has won over the distance before. He is fine on the ground and although his 140,000 guineas price tag looks like a deal done by Rodney Trotter, he gets the vote. Zanjeer showed nothing when returning from a massive layoff last time out but is fully entitled to have needed that run so expect improvement, whilst Sad Times knows that this is his grade. If deciding he wants to race he can go well although he may need the run after nearly 300 days off. Looks Could Kill drops markedly in grade and therefore warrants plenty of respect, along with Convince who doesn't always do as the tin says, but at least is fairly consistent. This won't take much winning, and Marmooq gets the tentative vote.
