None of these inspire confidence with the ground not ideal for The Golden Cue, who has shown his best form in soft going including last month’s third at Nottingham. Wiff Waff won over the minimum trip at Newcastle at the start of the year but will need to improve on his latest attempt at Goodwood to figure so a chance is taken on DANEHILL DESERT. The latter has slipped down the weights since landing a novices race at Hamilton last summer and Richard Fahey’s charge gets a speculative vote. Madame Ritz is the least exposed and debuts on Turf having won at Wolverhampton back in February
