Verdict

SAMATIAN went up 3lb for scoring at Stratford and was well supported on a return visit a few days later but made mistakes at crucial stages. Largy Reach was narrowly beaten in a Class 4 novices' race at Sedgefield but hasn't improved in two subsequent handicap starts. This could prove on the short side for Tiny Tantrum, whose best runs have been at three miles but Sir Jack West showed his first sign of form since arriving from Ireland when placed over the trip at Worcester. Lion's Vigil, a winner on the all-weather, has shown nothing in five starts over timber.
