From a short list in the seller that contains Denton Hawk, Gifted Heir, Mulvany and Disco Queen, we will side with Denton Hawk. Denton Hawk has improved for the drop to today's level and trip in each of his last two starts and, in a race that is pretty modest, looks to hold solid-enough claims. Gifted Heir was not beaten far over course and distance in non-selling company in July on good to firm and would hold a big chance if repeating that effort. Mulvany drops to this grade for the first time having shown some ability and, from a stable in form, can go well and is respected. Up in trip today, Tagula Music's chance is not a forlorn one, while Group Force showed improved form in first-time headgear last time and has to be considered dropped to the bottom grade. Straw Boy's Ripon soft-ground effort last time suggested that he is improving, so he gets a fair mention, and Disco Queen was disappointing on the all -weather last time but before that had shown promise on Turf and, if reverting to that, would hold claims. She also races in a tongue-tie an cheekpieces for the first time. Stable companion Autour du Monde drops to this grade for the first time after showing a modicum of promise. Finally, Kaladar might improve for the application of cheekpieces but, for the selection, we will stick with Denton Hawk.
