Laconicos can get the Pat Eddery Racing Club off to a flying start in the first race, with Langston Boy and Berkhamsted others to note. Laconicos, trained by David Loder, has been well tuned up in readiness for his debut, and indeed Eddery himself has ridden the colt in work on the Newmarket gallops. The son of Foxhound will be sharp enough and is taken to get the syndicate off the mark at the first time of asking. Langston Boy is another that has had plenty of work and did a good spin with two stablemates last week. His trainer Michael Bell was successful in this event 12 months ago with Promenade. Berkhamsted comes from a stable that found juveniles a rich source of income last season so is another to make a note of. However, there can be no better advertisement for syndicates than success on the track, and Laconicos, with Johnny Murtagh in the plate can help start Pat's new venture in the best possible way.
