The lightly-raced METERSANDMASKS returned from a long break to land a Cork handicap nine days ago and though 10lb higher can go in again as she won with something to spare. Alohamora has been in fine form over fences, winning three times since November, and reverts to hurdles on a 14lb lower mark. After excellent runs in strong handicaps at Leopardstown and Cheltenham, Winter Fog started favourite for an Aintree Grade 3 handicap but ran poorly and needs to bounce back. Hybery, an easy winner of a Wexford maiden in 2020, has been competing at a higher level than this and is worth a look as is stable companion Vadaly, a winner in France who ran in Grade 1/3 company in his first two starts in this country but takes a big step-up in trip.
