Some familiar sprinters line up for this competitive contest including the 10-year-old Marsad, Milton Bradley's Seven No Trumps and the David Nicholls-trained Loyal Tycoon but a chance is taken with a stablemate of the last mentioned True Night. The son of Night Shift has slipped back to a winning mark now and ran his best race for some time when a two-length fourth behind Flur Na H Alba at Ayr over seven furlongs recently. Although most of his winning form is over further, the drop in trip may suit this speedily bred gelding, who hails from a stable back in form. Marsad is fairly treated on his best and showed signs of a return to form at York last time. Kingscross and Loyal Tycoon, who filled the first two places at Doncaster last time are closely matched on the revised terms and have to be respected. Hold up horse Turibius is probably better at the minimum trip, while Seven No Trumps may want a softer surface to show his best form. The consistent pair of Zarzu and Savile's Delight are others to consider but for the vote we side with True Night.
