Caprio won with a bit in hand 8 days ago and is fancied to brush aside his 6lb penalty, Bazguy and Too Grand can make this a good test, while Countrywide Comet needs to settle much better than he did last time out and, although respected, he may be best left alone for the time being. too Grand could be good value for at least a place in the frame, as she has plenty of speed on her day. However, six furlongs stretches her stamina and she may be vulnerable close home. Bazguy, like the selection, picks up a penalty for winning in good style last time out. However, this is much tougher and he needs to prove that was not just a flash in the pan. Therefore, it can pay to side with Caprio, whose yard have always been selective with the horses that run at this time of year. From a mark of just 58, Roger Charlton's charge still has plenty of room for improvement - with today's task appearing to be a stepping stone along the way to slightly better things.
